Welcome to the Mississippi Society of Georgia

It's that time of year again ... Mardi Gras!

Please join us for a Mardi Gras Social & Canned Food Drive!
The Mississippi Society of Georgia will be gathering at Louisiana Bistreaux in Buckhead, Tuesday, February 25th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. (If you are already in town and got off work at 5, feel free to come on by early!) Since most of Georgia does not do Fat Tuesday, it's a perfect time to gather with your fellow alumni and other Mississippi friends. No cost to attend, just show up and enjoy. The restaurant is on the bottom floor of the Hampton Inn & Suites in the same complex as "Disco Kroger" in Buckhead. Cash bar and full menu ordering will be available. We will be collecting can and cash donations in support of Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Directions to Louisiana Bistreaux - Buckhead 3312 Piedmont Road, Atlanta, GA 30305

Society Presents Check to Governor Bryant

On Monday, May 4, 2015, representatives from the Mississippi Society of Georgia met with Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant and presented a check for $12,000 representing the funds raised from Mississippi Weekend 2014. We are proud to be the only Mississippi Picnic group that sends funds directly back to the state of Mississippi in the form of scholarships. Your participation in the golf tournament and purchasing prize pack tickets contribute directly to this total. Let's make the 2015 check even bigger!
